Summer Camp Q&A

How old does my rider need to be to attend camp?

We recommend your rider be 6 or older to join any week of summer camp.

Which camp is the most appropriate for my beginner rider?

All camp weeks will have an appropriate group for all levels. We have found that for the young or unsure equestrians, the half-day camps are more conducive for riders that may not be ready for a long day of riding.

How much is a week a camp?

The 5 day 9-5 camps are $425.00 and 4 day 9-2 camps are $325.00.

Does my rider need to have previous experience with horses?

Absolutely not!

Does my rider need his or her own riding gear?

Riders will only need comfortable riding pants (leggings work great) and a sleeved shirt.  Other necessary riding gear will be provided.

What will my rider need to bring to camp?

Riders will need a packed lunch, refillable water bottle, sun screen, and a change of clothes. Eat a hardy breakfast and bring a smile to share! A completed Rider Release form needs to be submitted on or before the first day of camp in order to participate.  The Camp Reservation Form and Rider Release can be found HERE

Where and what time do we meet?

Rider drop off is 9am sharp and we meet in the clubroom. The farm has two entrances, Streets Ferry Road and Cowpen Landing Road.  The clubroom entrance is the second gate on Cowpen. Parents/Riders will park in the gravel parking area in front of the clubroom. You can enter the building from the front or back. Please park and drive in designed areas only,

Will there be a show for parents to attend?

Riders will be eager to show off their riding skills. There will be a drill team demonstration on Fridays in the cross country field. All are invited.
